HEALTH INSURANCE Every policy is different and must be verified on an individual basis. The fact that Florida regulates Acupuncture Physicians under the Dept. of Health, and the law denotes us as Primary Care Providers, our position is enhanced to assist you further in negotiating for reimbursement. MEDICARE / MEDICAID Currently, these systems do not offer coverage for Acupuncture services, however a bill is currently in congress that will hopefully correct this, and encourage more medical insurance companies to stop excluding these valuable therapeutic services. Do I need a PRESCRIPTION? Our scope as primary care providers includes prescriptive rights for all services offered at Altamonte Acupuncture. Most insurance plans that cover acupuncture and associated services accept our assessment of medical necessity. No prescription is needed for medically necessary treatment of any injury sustained in an auto accident, including acupuncture, massage therapy or herbal medicine.
